Cincinelli, 34, was even fooled into thinking that the hitman had pulled off the murder and was shown pictures of his dead body, in which she had paid $7,000 to make it happen, the court papers show.
“The evidence, in this case, is overwhelming,” Brooklyn US Attorney Richard Donoghue said in legal documents. "The defendant was captured on audio and video recording planning the murders, and, once she was advised that the murder of John Doe was effected, she was captured on audio and video planning her alibi and destroying evidence of her involvement in the crime.
Cincinelli, a mom of two, began planning the murders in February with her boyfriend, who has been identified as John DiRubba by the New York Post.
But, Dirubba then went straight to the FBI and began working with them as a confidential source, by recording his phone calls and wearing a recording device when with Cincinelli, the court documents said.
DiRubba, who is reportedly friends with a few of the real "Soprano's" stars, told Cincinelli he could get it done for $7,000, but it needed to be paid in gold coins.
She then withdrew the money around Feb. 18, from a TD Bank branch and gave it to DiRubba, who then used it to purchase the gold coins, the court papers said.
On Monday, May 13, afternoon, DiRubba told her that the hitman was at her estranged husband’s place of work on Long Island, but she said he should be killed in “the hood” or “the ghetto” so “it would not look suspicious,” the court documents say.
He also said his daughter had been located in New Jersey but “did not want to carry out the murder near a school,” court papers say.
On Friday, May 17, a Suffolk County detective who was working with the FBI went to Cincinelli’s home in Oceanside and told her that her husband, was dead, the court papers say.
The boyfriend then showed her a fake text message from the "hitman," that included a staged photo of her estranged husband "appearing dead in his car," the court documents said.
She was arrested while wearing a "PINK' brank sweatshirt from Vitoria's Secret and neon-green sweatpants a short time later and hauled into court where she was charged with use of interstate commerce facilities in the commission of murder-for-hire.
Prosecutors successfully argued for her to be held without bail at her arraignment.
Carvalho sued for divorce last year and the couple had a trial set for June, according to court records.
When contacted by numerous news outlets, Carvalho said he was still trying to "wrap his head around this."
